Thought Partner to High-Performing Adults, Leaders & Professionals

I’m Anat Samid, LCSW - a licensed psychotherapist offering private pay psychotherapy for adults who are responsible, capable, and deeply committed to personal growth, yet often find themselves overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck under pressure. My clients are high-performing professionals, leaders, and adults working long hours who want depth-oriented, emotionally intelligent therapy that fits their lives.

I believe therapy is a powerful collaboration - a place where you can finally slow down, think clearly, and reconnect with your inner compass beneath the pace and pressure of daily life.

My Approach

I practice relational, insight-oriented psychotherapy grounded in emotional intelligence, neuroscience-backed skills, and practical tools that fit into demanding schedules. My work integrates evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques to help you manage stress, reduce anxiety, and build resilience - without turning therapy into another stressor.

Clients describe the work as:

  • Insightful yet grounded

  • Practical without being shallow

  • Warm, direct, and deeply attuned

We explore patterns, emotional blocks, relationship dynamics, and inner experience with intention, clarity, and compassion.

Who I Work With

I specialize in supporting adults who:

  • Navigate high-functioning anxiety, career stress, and burnout

  • Experience emotional overload or chronic overwork

  • Are in major life transitions or identity shifts

  • Want to strengthen boundaries, communication, and self-leadership

  • Seek therapy that is private pay, depth-oriented, and thoughtful

Many of my clients are executives, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs, attorneys, creatives, and others whose success often masks inner tension or exhaustion.

You don’t need a crisis to benefit from therapy; many come to reconnect with themselves, improve emotional regulation, and create a balanced, meaningful life.

My Professional Journey

Since earning my Masters from the University of Maryland in 2000, I’ve worked across settings - from trauma-informed youth services and senior care to executive leadership roles and community building. I founded the Central NJ Mental Health Professionals Network and have presented nationally on topics like post-traumatic growth and mindfulness.

Before private practice, I served as an Executive Director overseeing high-impact programs, which deepened my understanding of leadership pressure, emotional bandwidth, and the hidden toll of constant responsibility.

Today, I run a fully virtual psychotherapy practice serving clients in California, New York, New Jersey, Florida, and Vermont.

What I Believe

I believe people are naturally resilient and capable of profound change. Trauma - whether acute or accumulated - shapes us in different ways, and we all develop survival strategies that can become barriers to living with ease. In therapy, you will:

  • Learn to trust your internal compass

  • Understand your emotional patterns

  • Build tools for sustainable balance

  • Strengthen clarity, authenticity, and calm

My ultimate goal is for you to become your own anchor with a powerful support system - confident and grounded, with self-awareness and agency.

Credentials

  • MSW, University of Maryland (2000)

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

  • Founder, Central NJ Mental Health Professionals Network
